"For many working moms struggling just to make ends meet, the idea of earning a degree is an impossibility. But what if there was a way to earn that degree for free without having to find the time to sit in a classroom?"

Four amazing Project Working Mom scholarship finalists from sponsoring schools American Sentinel University, Ashford University, Capella University, and Penn Foster College were flown to NYC to discuss with co-hosts Mike Jerrick and Juliet Huddy about how winning this scholarship could change their lives.

Project Working Mom makes headlines again! This time, we are featured in a story entitled "Moms getting online degrees."

"As children go back to a new school year, more and more of their mothers are also going back to school-- without ever leaving their homes. Some of them also have jobs outside the home.

Jennifer Rowland has earned her masters degree in business administration, without setting foot into a classroom.

"I could be anywhere in the country, I could be anywhere in the world and I could still participate in class," online student, Jennifer Rowland said.

She worked mostly at home, while raising her two kids, with one on the way this month. Jennifer is also a senior manager at the accounting firm Ernest and Young, which paid her tuition ... "

"If you or someone you know is a busy working mom, but haven't given up your dream of going to college - you need to hear this story. You can get a full-ride and earn your degree on your own schedule for little or no cost through a new initiative just for working moms, but you have to hurry.

Shamin Shaikh of San Francisco is a busy woman. She's a wife, a mom to a five-year old boy and two older children, and works full-time for the San Francisco Unified School District, as an administrative assistant. Her dream is to attend college, but two things stand in her way - time and money.

"One cannot afford it. Especially if you have a family and you live in the area and you have other things to take care of like family bills and mortgages, rent," said Shaikh.

But Shamin now has a shot at realizing her dream. She's applied for a scholarship through a website called "Project Working Mom." The non-profit is teaming up with five universities to offer $2 million in scholarships to working moms - to earn their degrees online."
