I was on my way to work this morning, when I saw that gas had gone up another 10 cents overnight. Then I saw this article from CNN:
http://money.cnn.com/2008/04/21/news/economy/moms_foodshopping/index.htm
where they mentioned that the average monthly cost of groceries was $500...approximately the cost of a mortgage payment.
It's scary enough to think about paying for school...with the costs of essentials like gas and food going crazy like they are, it becomes even more worrisome. No one wants to have to set aside plans for going back to college, but hey, the kids gotta eat.
I thought it might be good to start a post to share tips on ways to cut grocery costs...I'll be back soon with more tips. Please, if you have any great ideas or resources, post 'em!
