Thanks AZ,

I actually applied to a local college Tuesday night that has an online program for working adults. Thanks for the vote of confidence as I appeciate it very much so!

I've actually taken the majority of my classes online thus far and it has worked out really well for me.

Someone sent me a quote yesterday that says, "I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday." ~Author Unknown

I understand the feeling. Two jobs, school and a family. Very tiring.

And narrowing this down is tough. There are so many online schools. What kind of degree do you want, to start with? Do you want to take multiple classes over a semester, or do you want to take one, two or even three classes over a five to six week period? That might help some folks on here tell you if the program they're taking is a fit.

As far as an associates at 42, my dear husband just finished his at 50. Hope he'll finish his bachelors by 52. But look at it this way: he won't retire until 67, so that's 15 more years!

Online schools are the perfect way to spend more time with your daughter when you want. You can work on classes evenings, mornings, weekends, whatever.

And...your company needs a wake-up call -- one that you need to give them. Do you ever sit down and talk with your bosses about your ambitions, what you want, what you need? Maybe they think because you're on the "mommy track," you want to stay in your current, stable position. You need to ask them what you need for a promotion, because you watched the 20-something with no education get that job, and it disappointed you, since you've shown your skills and dedication over the long run. And you are attending school to give them more.

<hugs> and keep plugging...

I need some reassurance....

I have been at this since 2007 attending a local community college, while working full time, part time and raising my 'lil one. Needless to say I am TIRED!

I've been looking at schools online that have more of an accelerated program so I can finish my Bachelors 'cus at the rate I am going, I'll be 42 til I get a darn associates degree. Anyhow, what finally kicked it in the butt for me was to see a young 20 something w/ NO COLLEGE get promoted into a higher paying position, while I've been employed with the same company for well over 15 years.................

I am tired, disgusted and just truly thinking to myself, "what is the point???????????????????????"

I have taken so much time out of my life already and feel like I have cheated my daughter outta time....

Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HELP SOMEONE, please?
